RING MODULATOR ON INNOV8 RADIO

On November 20th 2016, Kin Aesthetic asked Ring Modulator to present Filtered Listening on Innov8 radio.  The following link is a Mixcloud document of that Radio Show:

The first two tracks present a statement of current affairs within the Planet Earth occurring throughout November.......Dalek I turned into Dalek I Love You when Andy McCluskey left to form OMD........I'm a sucker for Emperor Machine and anything that Andy Meecham does...I also have a bit of a soft spot for Keith Allen's daughter......

Out onSheffields CPU Records the Blixaboy album is a stunning mixture of Berlin School and Drexyian Detroit Electronics...followed up by the first of a Mancunian link....Kalima and a fantastically funky remix of Shine followed by Trevor Jackson's Playgroup and MxJam from the 7th YesWave 12" in limited runs of 250....we are in great funk territory....

Keeping it European, Belgian Arnaud Rebotini and David Caretta team up for a recent release followed by Czech Born Emika for her typically Euro cover of Bowies Let's Dance...at which point we take a brief detour to a dystopian electronic sound-track from Pye Corner Audio.

A Dusseldorf Trilogy follows..the Ultravox link being that recorded in Conny Plank's studio......to be followed by a quick hop over to Berlin for Rhythm and Sound....then a rapid trans Atlantic flight to Toronto for a quick re-gash of Peaches Vaginaplasty and back to Europe for Kittin and Mayer's Voyages Interieur......

we're on a cheap flight back to Manchester for Cath Carroll and a electro coach trip back to Sheffield for an unreleased as yet track from Daddy Long Legs also on CPU.

5oz of funk from the late great Sanfranciscan Patrick Cowley to a slice of Parisian techno offal from Mr Oizo......Rushent productions for Leisure Process and New York Synth Popsters Our Daughters Wedding.......so we really are truly going Kraut Manc here.........

Back to La Dusseldorf...Manchester......Dusseldorf...Berlin....bloody Manchester AGAIN......and to finish off at the edge of the world with a Germanic Dundee cross......hope you enjoyed the journey....watch out for some more pod/broadcasts from Ring Modulator
